Headley Brothers wins 'Magazine Printer of the Year' award

This month saw Headley Brothers beat off stiff competition to win the `Magazine Printer of the Year - Short Run' award at the prestigious PPA Magazine Production Awards ceremony.

This month saw Headley Brothers beat off stiff competition to win the `Magazine Printer of the Year - Short Run' award at the prestigious PPA Magazine Production Awards ceremony.

The awards, held at the Millennium Mayfair hotel on the evening of 13th November 2008, were judged by an independent panel of industry specialists.

The judges commented: "Headley Brothers has made investment in valued customer service such as flatplanning, digital asset management, and personalisation services, enabling differentiation for the printer and value added services for its customers."

Headley Brothers' continued investment in new equipment and technologies has seen the introduction within the last year of HeadWay, a web-to-print solution. HeadWay incorporates document management, an automated marketing service and e-procurement services, thereby providing Headley Brothers' customers with an efficient and easy-to-use online print ordering facility.

Headley Brothers has also implemented HeadStart, an online flatplan file delivery system for the quick and easy supply of files, and HeadStore, a digital asset management system available to customers. To boost its digital printing capability, there is also HeadSet, Headley's image personalisation software.
