Our well-equipped Pre-Press Department operates leading-edge PDF workflow and is almost exclusively digital

PDF is the file format of choice, although native application files can be accepted for most of the popular software packages.

Data can be transferred to us via a number of methods. Here are the most commonly used.

VIO - A managed file-delivery system which is monitored by VIO 24/7. A 2Mb leased line is reserved for this service.
WAM!NET - A second managed file-delivery system running on a second 2Mb leased line. This service is monitored by WAM!NET 24/7.
ISDN - Eight-channel ISDN, running ISDN Manager software.
Disk - We can handle Zip, CD-ROM and floppy disks. Most forms of file compression can be catered for.
Fax - This is used widely for copy instruction and proofing
Email - We can recieve files as e-mail. However it is common for files sent as attachments to be corrupted. It is far more efficient to use one of the other methods of electronic delivery. If e-mail is the only alternative the e-mail address is: prepress@invicta-press.com

TYPESETTING
Classified Advertising - We can set your ads as you sell them, proof by fax or ISDN, and drop them into pages for you.
Data Storage - We can store your ads, logos or other repeating data in digital or analogue form.
Technical Setting - We have long experience in scientific and medical typesetting, including production of table and graphs.
Corrections - We have a full range of desktop publishing software and can correct or update your pages on request. Retouching - When handling your images we sometimes perform colour balancing and other retouching operations. HTML - Including other internet language conversion of DTP data for your website.
Capacity - With more than 20 Macs and PC's we have the flexibility to handle all your requirements.

PROOFING
Laser proofs, faxed to your office, posted or delivered. Contract colour proofs from your digital files. PDF files sent to the computer on your desk by ISDN. Wet proofs - can be produced from printing plates prior to the print run where time permits.
